On September 5, 2022, Consortium members met with members of the National KIX Committee in Mongolia, which was formed this summer with 11 members representing government agencies in education and civil society. The Committee's immediate plans are to participate in KIX IDRC training cycles for education policy and scaling. Tungalactuya Khuukhenduu, Director of NNC and a member of the Implementation Consortium, has become a member of the KIX National Committee in Mongolia. Dr. Miejav Itgel, Director of the Mongolian National Institute for Educational Research, spoke about the mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Institute, as well as the Institute's research projects. The Consortium members discussed opportunities for collaboration and cooperation on research issues within the project "Distance Education for Improved Access and Quality of Education in Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and Tajikistan.
There was also a meeting at City School 97, which is located in the Bayanzurkh district of Ulaanbaatar. The members of the Consortium received information on the organization of the educational process, professional development of teachers, etc.
