On September 2, 2022, a meeting was held at the Mongolian National University of Education. This is one of the largest universities in Mongolia that trains teacher educators - future teachers for schools in the country. The university provides bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs, as well as professional development for school teachers. A meeting was held with the director and staff of the Office of Distance Education. Lhagvasuren Menkhtuyaa, director of the office, talked about the university's efforts to provide students with all the necessary skills for teaching, as well as to improve the qualifications of teachers in the use of information technology and interactive materials.
The university created a digital library, developed extensive materials including requirements for online lessons, development of interactive materials, numerous examples of lessons, materials on teaching methodology, and developed online tests for students as well as teachers who are upgrading their qualifications in ICT competencies.
The meeting was held within the framework of the project to study the issues of digitalization in education, organization of distance learning in schools in order to improve access and quality of education.
