From 23 September to 18 November 2022, Almagul Osmonova and Aigerim Jolchubekova took part in a training cycle on "Scaling up professional development of teachers (TPD@Scale)". The Kyrgyz team also includes representatives from Mugalim Online School, the Republican Centre for Training and Professional Development, Naryn State University, and the Kyrgyz Academy of Education. The training program includes an open online course "TPD@Scale and Innovation in Teacher Professional Development," which is hosted on the Open University platform (OpenLearn, UK), weekly team and group knowledge sharing sessions that allow all teams to come together and share their ideas, and coaching sessions to support country teams as they work on the knowledge product. The Knowledge and Innovation Exchange Training Cycle (#KIX) in Europe, Asia, and the Pacific (#EAP), implemented by #NORRAG, is attended by 80 participants from 13 countries and facilitated by the TPD@Scale Coalition for the Global South through the Foundation for Information Technology Education and Development (FIT-ED). The training cycle aims to support participants in learning how to scale up teacher professional development programs using information and communication technologies (ICTs) by adapting/localizing them to large numbers of teachers to improve student learning outcomes.
